We went to the Jolly Roger Pirate show during our recent stay in Cancun last week in January 21 and the show is great and extremely entertaining.
This is basically people aggressively pushing shots on you with low quality food. No surprise when I spoke the company at the resort who booked the event they weren’t able to get ahold of anyone from Jolly Roger regarding it. We awkwardly just waited to be allowed to leave at that point since we didn’t feel safe. MANAGER SHOVED ME TO THE FLOOR! One of the actors helped me up and asked if I was okay. I asked for the managers name since he had just scribbled something. He grudgingly gave me a ticket showing the discount. Which I didn’t believe, I asked him for some documentation agreeing to that. The manager told me the issuer would do the refund. I again said I wanted my ticket refunded. He went to the men’s bathroom shaking doors calling for my friend! insane! My friend came out of a stall confused and deeply uncomfortable as a stranger was yelling at him. One was on stage, another was in the washroom, and the third was holding everyone’s stuff. He demanded I go and get the rest of my party. He again tried to get me to do shots, which I refused. I asked the manager for my money back because this wasn’t a good experience. I asked what was happening, apparently nothing again, again shots were pushed which I refused. Still haven’t even finished my first drink. Another audience member was pulled onto the stage, the audience was shouting pirate name suggestions. Apparently nothing, pushing shots, which I said no. Being a good Canadian I immediately started apologizing asking whats wrong. I get dragged from my seat to speak to the manager. I immediately get pulled up on stage to dance. This review keeps mysteriously getting removed with no notification.
